The new wetland habitat has begun to take shape at the front of the school. "The sustainable drainage systems are designed to mimic natural drainage processes" and supply water to this habitat area. The area is due to be planted to attract an array of wildlife while cleaning pollutants from the surface water. Along with the new landscaping in progress it will provide a valuable learning resource as well as further enhancing the school grounds. It will also form part of the schools bid for a Green Flag Award led by the Eco Club teams. Further details of the landscaping plans can be found here.
